WhatsApp - Private Sessions 2: Liniker & Gil

In the second edition of WhatsApp Private Sessions, we present When The Wind Blows, an unreleased song by Gilberto Gil, recorded over 40 years ago and believed to be lost, resurfaced in a unique way: handed over to Liniker, who reinterpreted it with delicacy, respect, and emotion — all through a conversation on WhatsApp. The campaign was built around this intimate and symbolic exchange, celebrating privacy as fertile ground for creativity. The song was launched inside WhatsApp itself, using the View Once feature — because some messages are meant to be felt, not stored. I had the privilege of creating and directing this project in the landmark year marking Gil’s farewell from the stage. More than a campaign, it was a living tribute to music, memory, and the freedom to express oneself securely.
